Photographers dream

I have just bought a new camera ..a digital SLR. As usual I have not stopped to look at the manual but have jumped straight into the action phase and gone out to take a pile of photos. My principle is fairly simple take a lot of photos and hope a few come out well. In our neck of the woods this is a good policy because the colours, the light and the scenery make it easy. Here is a photo from my recent walks in the local area. I have already noticed that photography helps you recognise beautiful scenes even more. Anyone looking for a few days break can book in at our self catering accommodation http://www.selfcatering-in-scotland.co.uk/. At this time of the year clear crisp days and vivid colours are not guaranteed (this is Scotland) but generally you do get them on a frequent basis!
More photos to follow!

Winter comes early to Kinnaird House and Woodland Lodges Pitlochry

Winter comes early to Kinnaird with a fall of snow in October ..the earliest I have ever known since living up here.

The walk behind our log cabins takes you up the field to be faced by one of the most beautiful mountains in Scotland...Ben y Vrackie (see picture) which now looks magnificent .

Huge swathes of snow can now be seen with a drive to Aviemore over the Drumochter Pass...this really is spectacular.

The Enchanted Forest and Autumn Festival appear to be resounding successes, with record visitors to both. Most of our guests have visited both with very positive reports.

The autumn colours are fantastic and I have been experimenting with a new digital camera...with scenes like the ones below you just can't go wrong!
